Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents welcomed Bella in the Philippines, on February 9, 1997. Her mother lived in areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old. She was then adopted. The family she adopted is by an Filipino adoptive mother and white American military veteran. She says that her and her brother, adopted as an infant, suffered abuse before they joined the military. Her family travelled from San Francisco for a few months to live with her aunt before moving to Texas when she was thirteen due to her father's need for bypass surgery. Her father did not take action to stop the abuse psychologically, even though she says that the physical violence was less. Poarch joined the United States Navy when she turned 18. Poarch launched the TikTok account around April 2020 and quickly became a household name with more than 40 million fans in just eight months. Millie B's video Soph Aspin Send, which has become a viral sensation for Millie B was her greatest success. A zoomed-in clip of her synchronized lip-syncing to the tune and jumping around in time to it was an extremely viral video which has since become TikTok's most popular video. Poarch launched her YouTube and Twitter accounts in the months after her signing up to TikTok to benefit from the growing popularity. Poarch's burgeoning fame peaked in December 2020. Her burgeoning fame was reported to have drawn two of the biggest professional Esports Teams. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves have both expressed an interest in hiring the content creator to work for their own brands.
