Arike Ogunbowale

Arike has been a American professional basketball player. She is a member of the Dallas Wings Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before being drafted with the number 5 overall by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born the 2nd of March 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale as well as Dare Ogunbowale are both 20-years old. She was the youngest child in her family and her parents took care of her the most. Her father Gregory was posted with the Nigerian Army for quite some period of time. Ogunbowale was able to win gold in 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships in addition to the 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was named to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first year of collegiate basketball. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for her big shots during the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale is a relative newcomer to the game of basketball, has already established herself as a star. She will surely continue to grow with her basketball career.
